Long distance shipping damage

A few recent VII purchasers have mentioned some shipping issues. Obviously, if screws vibrate out there is not much to be done about that unless LaSpaz or Chris puts locktite on the screws, but then it would be harder for us to remove the screws for maintenance.

On the other ,there have been reports of the drip tray being jammed in. I am wondering if this could be due to the fact that the units are shipped with the box of PFs and other weighty accessories taped down to the top of the drip tray's grate. Perhaps it would be better to position this box elsewhere in the shipping carton.

Comments? Thoughts?

I agree, maybe ship that carton of goodies in a whole seperate shipping label itself.
The machine should go into it's own box completely alone so nothing shakes around, portafilters and such can go in a seperate box. This can be done maybe for the cross-country coast to coast shipments.
