Steam safety valve broken?

Hello friends!
About a month ago I heard a pop from my mini vivaldi II, and now when the machine heats up it constantly sounds like its leaking steam pressure. I think I see that it is leaking it from the little valve behind the water filter, and I think this is the safety valve. Mine seems to look different from others I've seen online so I was wondering if maybe it was just popped or something and I could wrench it back? Any help is appreciated!
