Unable to turn Steam Boiler off (resolved)

On my second machine, after a good experience with the Vivaldi, I bought a mini V2.
The machine arrived with the wrong amperage and timer setting on the switches, but that was an easy fix, and the machine works great now.
The only thing still puzzling to me is that the steam boiler cannot be turned off.
I verified the boiler button itself works by entering the enhanced temperature setup mode, but when the machine is up and running, the steam boiler cannot be turned off.
Any ideas?
