Group head water flow

Post by Velcro »

After looking at many videos, the water flow distribution from my system seems much more unbalanced than others.
not at all like a curtain I see in other's videos but a few specific streams.

My water distribution
This is after cleaning and it gets worse with each shot pulled.

I haven't seen suggestions on how to improve this. Hence the question.
As a starting place whats the best way to level the machine?
I tried a round level placed face down on the group head but my level didn't work in that orientation.

Any and all tips and suggestions and fixes greatly appreciated.

73 views but no comments?
Am I off base?
Is my water flow normal?
How do people level or don't?
Thanks

The water flow looks OK to me.

If you want to change the flow you do have some options. There is a brass dispersion block with a row of holes and then two shower screens that bolt to the group head. You might try rotating the two screens relative to each other. They each have holes and rotating them in relation to each other will make those holes align differently and will affect the water flow.

BTW: If you find an alternate screen alignment that you really like, mark across the side of the two screens with a black magic marker so you can align then that way after every removal for cleaning.

I've tried marking the screens but the sharpie Mark's always vanish after a shot or 2.
Any suggestions?

Rotating the screens helps a little. The video was the best I could get rotating.
That's why I was wondering what might be wrong.
Any thoughts on leveling or a red herring?
Thanks chas

I got a small tube bubble level that I could put on up against the group head and leveled from there.
That helped a bit more too. step by step....
