Inserting the Portofilter to the Group is tight

Hi all,

I'm a new mini owner, so new that my grinder has not arrived yet. But I have tested my timer, the steamer etc just to make sure everything is working. But the one thing that has me concern is the amount of effort it takes to get the portofilter in the group. It locks but when it does I am afraid to turn it so that handle is pointing straight out, its slightly off-straight, its really a tight fit. Any suggestions or will it ease up as I use the machine?

Thanks in advance

With a year old gasket, mine is at a seven rather than a 6. I don't think you need to have it straight out.

Like I wrote in another post recently:
The end position of the P/F should be at or before the 6 o'clock. I last changed the gasket about 3 months ago and the P/F seals at 6:30 or even 6:45 still.

My bottomless locks in just around 6:00, but my stock portafilters are much tighter, and definitely lock in about 7:00 at most.
