Mini for commercial use

Post by lottiep »

Hi

I have a small roastery and at the moment I use a drip bar on my market stall. I am planning to venture out into the espresso / flat white/latte world. My question is will my Vivaldi Mini hold up to constant use, does anyone have any experience of using it in a semi commercial basis?

My other question is, can it be attached to a larger reservoir and water somehow pumped up from below as the small reservoir that it has will not be big enough.

If any has any advice, I would be very grateful

Thanks

I am not aware of any off-the-shelf, plug-and-play way to do what you suggest.

You could try disconnecting the tube from the water tank and connecting it to an external Flojet system. This would let you use something like a 5 gallon water bottle as your source. Off course you'd still have to leave water in the tank so that it wouldn't trigger the low water sensor. I have never used a Flojet system but if you try it, you may need to readjust your group pressure when using it as it may provide a bit of a pressure boost over and above the normal pump pressure.
