Fuse (32v or 250v) (AGC or MDL)

Post by StevenR »

I have had our Vivaldi II for a long long time. Every year or two the fuse will blow. The last fuse I put in the machine was a 20A 32V AGC. I went to Chris’ to see how much a replacement would cost, and they show a replacement of 20A 250V. I called Clive’s and they said the replacement was a 20A 250V MDL.

I’d appreciate anyone that could tell me what fuse should be used. I think it should probably be a 20A 250V AGC. The MDL is time delay, and I think I would have remembered if a slo blo was required. I’m also thinking it should be 250V because a 32V fuse may arc flash on a 120V circuit.

Thanks - Steve.

Definitely 250V and I'd go with the Slo-Blow since during brief periods when both boilers are on AND the pump is running, the current draw can theoretically hit 20A and it could spike higher when the heater elements or the pump switch on or off.
