Issues after descale

Post by bionic_hip »

I recently descaled my machine (with a citric acid solution). I've flushed almost a gallon of water through both the group head and the steam boiler. Now, I'm getting "particles" coming out of the group head......small, black particulates.
From the steam boiler, the water isn't clear......see picture.

Any ideas?
Thanks

I don't think there's much you can do at this point but keep flushing.

OK, thanks Chas. Is this pretty common?

I have never descaled my brew boiler so I can't comment on your brew boiler issue.

However, when I descale the steam boiler I remove the vacuum breaker and drain the boiler using the drain plug on the bottom. I can then fill the boiler using a funnel and drain from the plug. I rinse with three or four fillings of water and am set to go.
