Re: Is this normal?

You could also check the brew boiler temperature offset. Your brew temperature is quite high and with a 3 degree offset you could be close to boiling temperature which of couse would build pressure in the brew boiler. If an offset is programmed, that is.

Re: Is this normal?

If you machine does not «spit» in the drip tray after brewing a shot it might well be the solenoid valve or something blocking the tube/pipe going into the drip tray.

Re: Mini steam boiler replacement

From the yellow color I guess that its a food-safe thread sealant (NOT thread lock) that has a medium break resistance. I found a thread sealant that has PTFE in it as well. It cures within 30 minutes to withstand at least 10 bars of pressure. Curing occurs when there is not contact with air (anaero...

Re: Boiler Leaks on Mini

I have the exact same problem with my Mini. Just a slight whistling noise and then the occational leaking. Some of the leaked water bubbled up and touched some of the power connectors and this caused the automatic circuit breaker to trip. I did at first not suspect the Mini but was in the process of...

Re: Leak from Pressure Relief Valve

Thank you Chas. That was about what I figured as well. I think the steam boiler internal pressure is controlled by the temperature probe reading so I figured that a safety margin from 1.5 bar to 1.8 bar on the pressure relief valve would be perfectly OK. But I felt the need to have a second opinion ...

Re: Leak from Pressure Relief Valve

I recently had a leaking pressure relese valve. I got a replacement valve from the norwegian distributor but it is calibrated at 1.8 bar instead of 1.5 bar as the original. Should I worry? I guess it should make no significant difference. I did clean the faulty valve but it still leaks a bit and whi...

Re: My 2011 model S1 Rossini setup

Thanks. Your setup looks very nice too. Much more decorations than mine. I do like the doserless versions of grinders. My mini automatic model also have separate timer settings for single and double dose as well as manual. I keep beans in the bean hopper of my grinder while some people like to run o...

My 2011 model S1 Rossini setup

Rossini014.jpg This is my 2011 model S1 Rossini setup. With a mini mazzer grinder. I am very satisfied with my maching. Although it is a single boiler machine. The steam capacity is much more powerful than my old Baby Gaggia twin which has a thermoblock steam unit. My machine is the manual version ...

New S1 Rossini owner - Any other Rossini owners here?

I just bought a S1 Rossini. It is made in 2011. So far I have not had much time with the machine but I will post my experiences with it. The machine has only a single boiler that is used for both steam and espresso brewing. But the temperature controls are the same. I drink mostly espresso but also ...
