Thanks, I uploaded the picture.
Any thoughts about the green arrow? that nut-less fitting? (no jokes please).

Re: How best to seal a leaking fitting?
That worked!
The leak is where the red arrow is pointing at. You can see some water boiling/bubbling there.
The green arrow points at a fitting that seems to lack the nut - not sure if that is normal?
The machine is a Mini V2, about 7 years old.
Thanks.

How best to seal a leaking fitting?
I have a leak on the steam boiler, the fitting that has a tube going to the pressure guage.
How best to seal it? Leak is pointed at by the red arrow.
Green arrow is just a fitting with no nut, which is another question.

This is what I believe forum member Slavka001 developed.
I have the exact thing, works great with a smart plug (wifi controlled).

Re: alternative to Spaziale timer
Quick user product report on the solution above:
I used a smart plug just like in the video instructions, and I am happy.
Easy install, works perfectly, and kind of fun to tell Google to turn on the machine (or ask if it is turned off).
Two thumbs up.

Slavka001 - Good work! I see there's a bit of wait time on the Amazon page, but looks like the best solution so far.

Re: Mini Vivaldi ii Cup Clearance
I can help.
It depends on the portafilter you are using. I have a bottomless one, as well as the ones originally included in my MVII.
Also, you can actually remove the grid from the tray if you have a very tall cup, just be careful with the mess...

Re: Dosing ring/funnel
This will only apply if you have access to some tools. I used a meta lathe to cut this adapter to a manageable length (total 1"), and slightly reduce the OD on the 2" side. It is a 2" to 3" tube adapter made out of stainless steel, used in forming exhaust systems.... search for 2...

Re: Boiler Automatic refill system failure - can it fix itself?
Tigger Mark, Yes. Failures often fix themselves. Just kidding. It is likely that if the problem went away, you were probably in a programming mode you didn't even realize. I've been there. You press a button a little too long, and when you think you are just pulling a shot, you are actually reprogra...

Re: High Tech Steam Boiler Gasket call for interest
I think that while changing (or cleaning) the gasket in the brew head is easy and part of a frequent routine, opening the steam boiler is something most owners fear and hope to never have to do, hence the hesitation in committing to a purchase, even though the risk seems very small. So you can sign ...

Re: Can't open the brew boiler!
This: BTW: The Dream models actually have a feature that would address your issue though that's not really what it is for. Supposedly, Europeans prefer to leave their grounds in the PF between shots. In order to keep the grinds from drying out and sticking to the screens and PF, this feature, when e...

Check to see that the timer switch is set to the "OFF" position if you don't have a timer.
I had that problem, where it came from the factory in the "ON" position, even though I did not buy a timer.

Re: Unable to turn Steam Boiler off (resolved)
Replying to myself:
Unlike on my V2, the mini requires to press AND HOLD the boiler button for a couple seconds to turn the boiler off.
The latest version of the user manual actually spells this out.

Unable to turn Steam Boiler off (resolved)
On my second machine, after a good experience with the Vivaldi, I bought a mini V2. The machine arrived with the wrong amperage and timer setting on the switches, but that was an easy fix, and the machine works great now. The only thing still puzzling to me is that the steam boiler cannot be turned ...

It would also stand straight under the V2 if you remove the drip tray for those 30 seconds.

I know what you are talking about. The gasket is still pliable, no sign of a groove. Honestly I don't know which side is supposed to be towards the PF.
Here are the gaskets(both) flipped over:

Re: Silicone Gasket Longevity
I am still on my first gasket, installed late June 2014.
Here it is compared to a brand new one never used: Besides the discoloration, it is still in perfect shape. I pull 4 shots a day on average.

Clive Coffee specific model
Not an endorsement nor the opposite, but I see that Clive Coffee (Portland, OR) has yet another variation on the Vivaldi 2 and mini. They call it LUCCA A53, and it has a slightly different look but inside very similar to the regular models. Check it out: http://www.clivecoffee.com/product/la-spazial...
