Insulation or not

Hi,

I love my Vivaldi :)
I was thinking maybe to insulate the boilers.
I've read few threads here, very helpfull but most of them very old.
Enzo said its no relevant while Chas said it is :)
I'm seeing this as a reduction of electricity draw purpose mainly.

Thanks,
Chen

I never got it. This machines are built for industrial use (we use them at home but still) with top quality parts. Re: round gauge to square double gauge

Wans't easy! but I think I made it. It leaked on me, and its so hard to reach! got 4 round of teflon, and still when brewing a single micro drop. but I can't let it stay. So again take everything off, remove teflon, apply 6 round, close everything and now it look OK. This place is soooo inaccessible...

I still wait for mine. Everything I bought on the local stores didn't fit exactly (maybe because we have inch here and Italy is metric, as Chas said) I'm waiting for this part to arrive from La Spaz. Re: round gauge to square double gauge

Ok. Silver solder fix the pipe, seems to hold fine. So, square manometer in place, steam boiler show 1.25 like the old one. Tried to connect the brew pressure, but T3 is 3/8 while what I got is 1/4! from the pics online I can see that there is adapter there, I guess its 3/8-1/4 one. La Spaz didn't s...

Re: round gauge to square double gauge

I've just tested, and its the spacer needed for the gauge to fit in the panel. However the screw that was provided is not long enough. 20141129_173453.jpg So this "gap" on the chassis with long enough screw fit the gauge exactly at place. (maybe this chassis is for Dream too so its little different ...

Hi Firochromis, 2 weeks ago I've received brand new 2014 Vivaldi. To my surprise it had single gauge and 5c panel meaning its v1. After talking to the store i've worked with La Spaz, they sent me parts to change my machine to V2. I guess the difference between the cases it that my board has v2 softw...

Re: Round gauge on new S1V2 ?

Hi,

The store said they will send me transition kit from v1 to v2, which probably include front bazzel and dual gauge.
I've tried to find out if i have T #3 on my waterflow so it will be easy transition.

Can anyone take pic of the location the group pressure gauge pipe is connected ?

Thanks!

Round gauge on new S1V2 ?

Hi Guys,

Just received my new S1V2 from Italy. It took almost 2 month because the manufacturer took he's time.
I have small question before I start exploring the machine.

The one I got has a round gauge and not square. isn't all the v2 have a square one ?

Thanks,
Chen

Re: Plumbing lines

when I translate cavitation to my language it doesn't make sense :) lol.

My logic say that when the tube is lower the pressure is higher. Doesn't the pump need the right pressure instead of volume ? after all the amount of water taken is not that high.

Re: Plumbing lines

The cost to make the change is very low. however I prefer 6mm for now since its gonna be visible (rented house).

The big question i'm asking, What could be the problem if the 6mm is not enough ? Can it harm the machine ?
And also, how can I tell if its not enough ?

Plumbing lines

Hi, My S1V2 on the way :) Working on the plumbing... I gonna use a 8L Softener with 3/8" in and outs, and Pentek 101L filter with 1/4" in and outs. My water line is 3/8" out. I think 6mm (1/4") lines between everything should be fine, is it ? If not, the other options is 8mm (5/16"). What do you sug...

220v Dream ?

Hi Everyone,

I'm seconds away from buying the Vivaldi from Italy directly.
However i'm having second taught since I really like to get the latest Dream.

Do you know about any plans from La Spaz to make the Dream come true for Europe coffee lovers ? (220-230v)

Thanks!
